The rain in Spain may fall mainly on the plain but in SWFL, it comes in the waterfall variety during the rainy season. In less than 20 minutes, a couple of inches of the wet stuff can pool in our parking lot.

Rain doesn’t fall equally on the just and unjust. Showers can be very spotty. Drive under a torrential downpour one minute and the next, you find your car bathed in sunshine, the pavement bone dry.

Like the human inhabitants, the weather here often exhibits schizophrenic tendencies.
